Conference Update and Attendence Confirmation

Hello IWHC Attendees!

The Intermountain West History Conference is only a few short weeks away! We wanted to take this opportunity to provide an update further information regarding the conference. Please, let us know if you have any questions and watch for a future email with panel assignments.

General Event Information
  • Event Date: September 31-October 1
  • Event Check-in and Registration: Friday 12-1pm and Saturday 8-9am
    • Registration Fee: $30.00, cash or check accepted at check-in
    • Location: ISU Liberal Arts Building Room 329 (third floor, located in the History Department)
  • Friday Night Meet and Greet: please watch for an invitation to our IWHC 2016 Meet and Greet night at the Portneuf Brewing Company!

Presentations
  • Papers presented should be read within the 20 minute window for your time slot. 
  • Media additions to your presentation, such as a PowerPoint, are allowed. Please let us know in advance if you require technology services.
  • Moderators will attend each panel to provide time for presenting attendees.
Accomodations
Some suggestions for hotel accomodations close to campus are:
  • Rodeway Inn University (within 1 mile of campus) Rooms from $60
  • Hampton Inn and Suites (within 1 mile of campus) Rooms from $98
  • TownPlace Suites by Marriott (within 1 mile of campus) Rooms from $119
Please confirm your conference attendance and finalized paper title by September 17 to ensure your panel placement.  Also, if you have faculty chaperones attending who would be interested in acting as panel moderators, please send us their names, institution association, and contact information. Call for Papers Deadline Extended

We have extended the deadline submission for abstracts to Tuesday, May 3 for the IWHC at Idaho State in September!

All undergraduate and graduate students may submit their abstract submissions via our online submission form here or to our email address intermountainwest2016@gmail.com
